“We are pleased to be joining with others in our industry to fight spam head-on,” said Richard Merrick, Postfuture’s president and CEO. “There’s no doubt we all want to stop the onslaught of junk email, yet we also want to ensure delivery of personal and permission-based communications. After extensive research into a number of competing organizations and industry efforts, we found the NAI Email Services Provider Coalition and their Project Lumos initiative to best match our view of how the problem should be solved.” In addition to industry involvement, Postfuture has integrated the popular SpamAssassin™ junk mail identification system into its proprietary Postpublisher™ marketing automation platform to help marketers evaluate the spam ranking of their marketing messages prior to distribution. After publishing email content into Postpublisher™, a single button push starts a quick scan of the message that results in an overall spam ranking from 1 to 5 and a detailed explanation of what triggered the score. If the spam ranking is 5 or more, it is much more likely to be identified as unsolicited email and deleted or placed into a junk mail folder. While this does not guarantee a message will never be filtered, it does help marketers construct more effective permission-based communications that avoid formats and key words that might resemble spam. Postfuture is also offering 3rd party “delivery enhancement” programs to clients that could help increase email delivery rates, depending on the audience and contact history. The two programs offered are Bonded Sender (ISP-centered) and Trusted Sender (consumer-centered) – both of which are supported by TRUSTe™, Postfuture’s independent privacy monitor. While Postfuture maintains excellent relationships with leading ISPs for email delivery, these independent programs can offer an extra level of security in some cases to help maximize delivery rates. “Postfuture remains committed to providing our clients the latest information, technologies and services to support their online relationship marketing strategies,” continued Merrick. “And, as progress is made in the eradication of spam and the setting of permission email delivery standards, rest assured Postfuture will stay at the forefront of these positive changes.” About Postfuture Trademarks
