FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Postfuture and CinemaNow.com Cinematic Email Contest Produces Extraordinary Response Rates

Streaming Email Format Delivers Dynamic Advertising/ Entertainment Content

DALLAS, TX. – June 21, 2000 -- Postfuture, Inc. announced that its email contest for CinemaNow.com has created an extraordinarily high degree of interest from CinemaNow’s mailing list members. CinemaNow.com, the leading online community for independent film watchers and filmmakers, engaged Postfuture to design and distribute a new type of streaming email to its member community to promote a contest with a DV camera as a reward. Postfuture worked with the Chamber of Poets, an innovative movie short producer in Los Angeles, to create a full screen TV-like email that includes a streaming movie, an animated contest entry page, and interactive sponsor zone. To see the streaming email that was created, point your browser to: www.postfuture.com/cinemanow/cnteaser.htm

Statistics from the email campaign showed that 27% of the recipients clicked through to the contest, CinemaNow.com, and/or one of the sponsor sites, such as Express.com. For those who viewed the animated "teaser" in the email, the response was even higher at 40%, further demonstrating the value of rich-media to grab attention inside emails. Both companies attributed this impressive response to the linking of streaming media and a contest that were especially designed to appeal to CinemaNow’s movie fans. Recipients of the email could also pass it on to one or more friends by clicking on a "Send to a Friend" button, further expanding interest and increasing CinemaNow’s membership.

Richard Merrick, President and CEO of Postfuture, said: "CinemaNow’s vision was to bring the movie experience from the theater right into their audience’s inbox, and then reward them with a chance to win a DV camera. While we anticipated a good response from such an innovative approach, we were surprised and pleased with the great results and overwhelming enthusiasm from CinemaNow members. We are definitely looking forward to future campaigns with CinemaNow and continuing to push the envelope of e-marketing with streaming email."

Curt Marvis, CEO of CinemaNow, said, "This campaign sets a benchmark in audience response to targeted emails. Our success with Postfuture will help define our future e-marketing strategies, while guaranteeing our overall effectiveness in generating responses. CinemaNow is a company built on the delivery of dynamic content; the Postfuture streaming email campaign is a direct reflection of our mission and a critical asset in expanding our membership."
